LOGISTICS & PLANNING

Local Questions Answered

We know that coordinating heavy equipment and managing site logistics on rural land takes precise planning. Here is what you need to know about bringing our Athens-based fleet to your property, whether you are in Sangamon, Menard, or beyond.

Do you charge travel fees for distant Central Illinois towns?

For properties within our standard coverage area—including Sangamon, Menard, Logan, and immediately surrounding counties—travel and equipment mobilization are built into your upfront project estimate. For specialized work further out, any additional logistics costs are transparently discussed before you commit.

What are the site access requirements for rural properties?

Our heavy machinery requires adequate clearance to operate safely and efficiently. We typically need a solid entry point, at least 12 to 14 feet of gate or lane width, and clear awareness of any underground utilities, septic lines, or soft ground areas before we mobilize our fleet.

Does your availability change during planting or harvest seasons?

Yes. We work closely with agricultural schedules to ensure we aren't disrupting your core operations. Because of this, our schedule fills up quickly. We highly recommend booking grading, drainage, or clearing projects well in advance of the busy spring planting and fall harvest windows.

Do I need to be on-site while the excavation is happening?

It is not required for you to be present for the entire duration of the earthwork. However, we do request a detailed walk-through at the start and completion of the project to ensure everything meets your exact specifications and our quality standards.
